ABOUT KIPPERS
Hellooooo

Let’s get the boring, I know what I’m doing formalities out of the way first. I’ve been a paediatric nurse for over 12 years (think kids, not feet — because feet are totally not my thing). I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Nursing, with postgraduate studies specialising in Paediatrics and Child Development.

I’m also a mum of three little kippers aged 5, 3 and 8 months, so I’m right there in the trenches of baby and toddler life with you. One thing people are often surprised to hear is that sleep deprivation didn’t rob me of these precious early parenting years. My babies have slept well… and so have I. That hasn’t taken away from connection, breastfeeding, responsiveness or attachment. But it has left a lot more space and energy for life, happiness and actually enjoying these fleeting early years.

Never in my wildest pre-kids dreams (because honestly this is probably as wild as dreams get in your mid-30s) did I think I would become some sort of sleep-obsessed nutter… but here I am, sharing Kippers and my sleepy wisdom with the world as a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant.

The sleep world is loud. It’s overwhelming, confusing and often incredibly divisive. For a while I even wondered if I wanted to step back into sleep consulting at all. But being surrounded by so many parents who are deep in the thick of it - surviving (or barely surviving) on very little sleep - reminded me why this matters so much.
Because infant sleep is a wild ride and sleep education can be life-changing.

What sort of sleep consultant am I?

A passionate, dedicated, invested (borderline obsessive) one. I’m the kind that truly gets it - every baby is unique, and their sleep should be treated as such. I am here to cut through the noise and bring clarity. If the sleep-deprived life is not your cup of tea, I’m here to unpack what’s no longer working, make a very good plan, and hold your hand every step of the way while we get some very dreamy results.

After all my years working with families, one thing I know for sure: Every single baby is capable of sleeping well.
Because we can’t survive without sleep, your baby can’t thrive without sleep and to be completely honest - I’m just a (un)hot mess with a tragic unwashed mum-bun without it. So, let’s say goodbye to sleepless nights and hello to well-rested brunches, lunches and arvo wines (because let’s be honest… that’s what mat leave is really about, right 😉?).
